i could be wrong, but i can't help but be a bit optimistic.last night my parents and i had our "family worship night".
i hate it, and i believe my mother does too.
my dad only does it because he's an elder but last night even he was acting like he didnt want to do it.
This is great news....would be so good if they become awaken about TTATT.
Kool Jo
this time i mean it.. thanks for all the ones that love me .
i am getting off the site after all these years.. anghard & simon .
but of late.
This is really sad news...hope you'll visit us!

in another thread, mouthy said she was "not well" and mentioned "kicking the bucket.
i believe she needs some encouragement and well wishes.. mouthy, you don't need to respond to this thread if you don't feel up to it.
just consider it an exceptionally long get-well card..
Great to hear from you mouthy & welcome back!

.
me...for most of my life.. what about you?.
just lois.
I had to work hard for what I have...I wasn't much of a person who prayed, unless it was at the khall....when I first started to learn TTATT, I prayed a lot that my family & loved ones would somehow be awakened...on the contrary, they've become more fanatics in their worship to the borg.

good day to all!.
in my "home" congregation where i grew up, there were about 12 other "young ones" who went to the khall until they were 18. most migrated to other parts of the country, or simple just left and got married, or continued with their own lives.
i'm so happy for them!.
It's very unfortunate that the cult uses circumstances (death of a family member ect) to try and guilt you in coming back to the khall....after losing someone, why not extend sympathy, rather than saying the only way to see them again is if you start to be spiritual again
I have no doubt he'll find the strenght to stand strong against the pressure from his family in the cult.

@lost: Thanks for your comment...I hope so too and I highly doubt it. He hasn't attended khall in a few years and is a skeptic of the borg. Even if is does come back to me, at this point I really don't care. It would just expedite my end with the cult!

However, one of them has been made to feel guilty and has resumed Khall attendance due to pressure...he's also in his 20's like me. He and I went school together and were close friends, he never got baptized thankfully. At 18, he stopped attending Khall, but he called to let me know that he's been going back for the past few weeks and that an elder wants to study with him!
During our conversation, i could realize he feels pressured to go back. We have a very close friendship and are always opened and honest towards each other. So I asked him if he's sure that's something he wants to do. He expressed some doubts pertaining to the histrory of the religion and also the dates (1914, 1975, 1919 ect). I then expounded to him about TTATT and even emailed him documents about the Riley Trust and about the "new light" coming out in the July watchtower.
He thanked me for all the information I gave to him and promised to keep the info that I gave to him private.
I hope this will help him remain out of the cult! Any other suggestions folks?

Personally, I have no idea what to beleive in...after knowing TTATT, I have no interest in religion, but Im becoming more interested in doing voluntary activities.
It's like starting all over again...I mean, the thought that one day all the bad things happening would be solved "soon" vs why does "soon" take forever to come?

so as i'm here browsing jwn while in bed, i hear the door knock at my apartment door!.
i was thinking it was my co-worker who lives opposite of me because i have no family nor friends where i'm currently living (job relocation for 3 months).
